Eve Hill, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy (Link opens new website) and leader of Inclusivity Strategic Consulting, is featured in Lawdragon Magazine: The Plaintiff Issue, 2nd Edition –An indispensable guide to the heroic lawyers throughout the U.S. working to ensure that workers’ rights are respected and fairly compensated.
Eve was interviewed by the editors and shared her knowledge regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), which passed 31 years ago and federally mandated equal access for people with disabilities to all aspects of public life. Eve was picked to discuss this topic due to her breadth of experience in this area as one of the nation’s leading disability rights attorneys.
“Disability has traditionally been thought of as a compliance issue. Comply with the law, reasonably accommodate, done,” says Hill. “But it’s really a diversity and inclusion issue. How do we make being a person with a disability in a job or a college a complete experience and not a lonely one? Because it’s not just about getting invited to the party. It’s about getting to dance.”
Eve shared her views on a wide range of topics influenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act including her thoughts on the COVID-19 pandemic and how it brought to light existing issues:
“The pandemic caused a lot of discrimination and exacerbated a lot of existing discrimination, especially in the technology space.”
Eve provides the highest quality of legal services to a broad range of clients. As a partner with Brown, Goldstein & Levy and with her consulting practice with Inclusivity, Eve is able to create a lasting impact for a single client or through systemic change for all.
